The Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) of ₹19034.62 crore for the year 2022-23 prepared by NABARD in respect of Belagavi District was released on 18 November 2021 by Shri Darshan, IAS Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Belagavi in the DCC Meeting.
DGM, LDCM Shri V.Rahul and other senior executives of Banks and Nodal Government Departments attended the Meeting.
DDM expressed sincere thanks to the District Administration, all nodal Government Departments, Lead Bank – Syndicate Bank and all Banks for providing data for PLP 2022-23.
While giving brief introductory note on the Potential Linked Credit Plan, Shri S.K.K.Bharadwaja, AGM (District Development), NABARD, Belagavi District said the total potential for Bank credit assessed for 2022-23 is at ₹ 19034.62 crore.
Sub-sector-wise, Farm Credit Potential has been estimated at : ₹9187.23 crore, which is inclusive of Crop Production, Maintenance and Marketing; Term Loan for Agriculture and allied activities ₹.2572.93 crore; Agriculture Infrastructure at ₹.705.24 crore; Ancillary activities (food & agro processing & others at ₹.954.87 crore); Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) – ₹.3580.50 crore; Export Credit – ₹.102.40 crore; Education – ₹224.10 crore; Housing- ₹.704.25 crore; Social Infrastructure involving bank credit – ₹.965.00 crore and Renewable Energy – ₹38.09 crore.
Potential Linked Credit Plan forms the base on which every year the Annual Credit Plan (ACP) is prepared by the Lead Bank and bank wise/branch wise target is given. DDM appealed to the bankers to plan their credit disbursement structure right now and make their sincere effort to ensure maximum credit disbursement as against the target being given by the Lead bank for the year 2022-23.
Government of India has given thrust to the formation of FPOs, financing infrastructure through AIF (Agriculture Infrastructure fund), food processing etc. NABARD is also promoting Farmers Producers Organizations (FPOs) in a big way, as they have the potential to facilitate income enhancement at the individual farmer level. Financing Agriculture Term Loan, SHGs, JLGs, encouraging Integrated farming will help in doubling the income of farmers.
