On Saturday a woman aged 30 years who had returned from Mumbai tested positive.
She was Institutional quarantined at a school in the village as they had returned from Mumbai. After 14 days of IQ she was sent home on May 29 but on May 30 her swab results tested positive and she was shifted to the designated COVID hospital.
Her primary contacts have been now again shifted to IQ in the school which includes her husband, daughter, and 4 others.
Now swabs of all the primary contacts would be taken and sent for testing as per the local authorities.
Now the number of positives in the district has risen to 147 which includes 8 from Bagalkote.
106 patients have recovered and have been discharged and active cases are 41.
