World Health Organization has declared the recent Novel Corona virus, COVID-19 as Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) which has affected 206 countries/ territories including India till date. WHO has characterized COVID-19 as a Pandemic on 11th March 2020.
In this context, Karnataka state has strengthened all surveillance and containment measures against the possible spread of disease.
‘,As of 5 pm of 3″ April 2020, 128 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state which includes 3 deaths & 11 discharges”
Out of 114, 111 COVID- 19 positive patients (including 1 pregnant woman) are in isolation at designated hospitals are stable and three in ICU (P43 on oxygen and P101 & P102 on Ventilators).
4 new cases have been confirmed in the state of Karnataka from 02.04.2020 5.00pm to 03.04.2020 5.00pm.
